"A man discover himself when he measures himself against an obstacle" Antoine de Saint Exupery.

This last years have been an extremely beautiful adventure! Filled with new people, new scenarios, new visions, and hard work. It haven't been easy, everyday a new wall, new winds: obstacles that create resistance to continue the road. But most of the times, I've been able to move forward, because of the resilience in me, but also, because of the people surrounding me, who have learned to look at the obstacles, and declare to themselves, that they are bigger. Helping them grow as a person, and together as a team.

We all make mistakes, and life is not perfect, and less, a fairy tail. But with lots of strength, perseverance and support, we are able to enjoy it, grow, and maybe, at some point in the road, discover who we really are.

Thanks to all of you for being part of my road, and I hope it serves as a breeze of fresh air, and maybe even a bit of inspiration to some of you.

That you for this milestone of 100.000 #followers and see you out there!

A Reference.
First full-moon Christmas, after 38 years!
Use this epic moment as a reference, as a milestone in your life to set a new page, for when this happens again you can remember what an amazing time you had today. Live the moment, breath deeply, get some wine, look at the sunset, and enjoy how it turns into a starry night.

This is harder to do, when you are going through rough patches, but my advise is for you to go out, enjoy and take advantage of it with your loved ones, specially the best teachers and masters in one’s life, our parents.

Use it as an opportunity to assimilate, how time goes, and how we should be doing the best we can out of our dreams. How transitory things are, and how relevant is a single day in someones life.

Next time we witness this, we will be older, much wiser, with a bit more wrinkles, and a lot more water under the bridge. You’ll look back, and thinking on the great things you did in this next decades, I wish you all, that next christmas with a full-moon you are accomplished people, with no regrets! With great memories, and not so good ones, of an epic life lived.

Thanks for being part of my story and letting me be part of yours.

An inspiration.
In honor to Douglas Tomkins
There are #people who have changed the #world. And a #greatexample is someone I had the grace to meet and work for 2 #summers, while in#college, on one of his conservation parks in #Patagonia: Douglas Tomkins who just passed away, may he rest in peace.

He went to Chile on the 60's with a group of friends to#climb the highest picks of Patagonia, and felt in #love of the place. Went on to found great companies with a social-responsible#mindset, like @thenorthface and @espritamong others, Changing the standards in the world of clothes manufacturing. Then, he left everything to dedicate his full time life to preserve nature as an #ecology#activist.

He arrived to #Chile when there was no real #philanthropy, he was questioned by politicians, even complicated by the President of the country at that time, but he continue persevering in the cause of conserving #nature and creating future#nationalparks making the country understand philanthropy.

Today his foundation has donated over 500 million dollars worth of conservation parks in Chile and Argentina, and for that unmeasurable work I say thank you!

Thank you for #inspire us to follow#dreams, to make things happen even through adversity, thank you for being an example of #uniqueness, an example of#change, #evolution, of #peace, and not caring about the status quo. Thank you for showing us what a re-evolution is.

Management and Commercial Advisement

Been having lots of fun these days, assessing some hotel chains in Southeast Asia.

Its always about knowing perfectly who your client is, you must do your homework and know: their demographics and psychographics.

And then, think and discuss how to brand the experience in the most appealing possible way, enhancing elements of differentiation. So, then we can rise the goals and forecast, not the other way around.

By far my favorite subjects!

Travel gear: my essentials!

Back in Cambodia one more time! And always ready for the adventure! With this lifestyle, there are some things I must take with me almost everyday.

These are some of my travel essentials today: The Nikon DF is my choice for pro photos, using a 14-24mm to capture the most I can, and a 50mm 1.1.4 lens to get detailed closeups with a beautiful bouquet.
Always on the go, requires to have a portable high end supply of energy, so I use a slim 20.000mAh for my mobile devices and a 18.000mAh version with a dc power connector for my computer and portable projector.
The LG pocket projector is the best I found in the market today, with 1.000 lumens I can see a bright clear picture even during the day, as difference with most portable projectors that sacrifice luminosity vs. size

The GoPro hero4 let me capture everything without any care for the weather or terrain conditions. And I could not live without my computer, a MacBook Pro 16gg in Ram, 2.5 ghz I7, 512gg hd.

Within my personal accessories, with all my love for watches, lately I have found a love in the Daytona models from Rolex, so if I don't carry a small collection, I take with me 2 Rolex Oyster Daytona; a everose gold, and a platinum one. My fine nib for my favorite fountain pen from Montblanc is a must, and the Persol foldable sunglasses save me some space in my briefcase.
Another must for me is a wallet case to protect each one of my passports. And a checkbook type of wallet to easy access all the types of currency I travel with.
If I could leave you with something specific to try, is the portable power bank from with a plug-in socket, and the Nikon DF: the sensor in this camera is the top of the line, and you'll see the difference.

Surprising Khmer food

I normally don't take photos of food, but they were so perfectionist with everything, that it deserved the attention.

A 5 course dinner of traditional Khmer (Cambodian) food at #embassyrestaurant a must in Siam Reap ;) The origins of the Khmer Empire dates to 802 AD. And ended with the fall of Angkor during the 15th century.

An Epic Broadway Experience

What a night in #NYC The Broadway show#queenofthenight was amazingly unique! A total experience ;) the greatest dinner/show in the US, ever!

We were not expecting a show so real to interact so much with the audience, while having some huge lobsters as the main dish in the dinner.

This memories got me totally pumped up for another pitstop at the Big Apple, after at least a couple of days at Burning Man.

Going back to the trails!

Starting to train again to get into one of the most amazing races I've been involved: Coast to Coast New Zealand.

It crosses New Zealand from one coast to the other, on the south island, finishing in the city of Christchurch.

I love to travel

I just simply love to travel ;) And more when I get some drinks going in this Airport Lounges. This time I found a new favorite watch, so it was an even better waiting haha. Have to say, that the staff of the Rolex store at Heathrow were extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

The best ever :)

Make the right decisions!

Photo from a past trek in Patagonia Argentina, where I was making some major life/college decisions. And now I saw this news: "Woman selling her college diploma"

This is the problem with people who see a college degree as a product. Its the knowledge you get and accumulate, the new things you see, the experience, the people you meet, the great professors, the mentors who are willing to give you their time, and what you do with all those things, mixed with how hungry you are, is what makes you successful, what makes you land your dream career. If you don't feel you are getting those, drop out, by all means, and move on.

Don't be afraid of failure, as thats what you'll feel if you stay doing something because of the wrong reasons. Don't get that credit, and invest your time, energy and money somewhere you feel you are growing. A degree will do nothing for you, compared with people who actually seek knowledge, experience, wisdom, and are in constant mode of self improvement. Those are the ones who make a difference.

Dare to do different things, find different ways!

Contemplating the temples in Angkor Wat, during the night, beautiful! Dare to do different things. Dare to see things differently!
